Special Reading of the Pentecost Story
It is a tradition at Holy Trinity to have a special reading of the story of Pentecost from the Book of Acts at each of our services on Pentecost Sunday.
Our special reading calls on the congregation to experience voices in as many different languages as we can gather, proclaiming the arrival and manifestation of the Holy Spirit in the disciples of Jesus through the speaking "in other tongues" as described in Acts, Chapter 2. In years past, we have had readers in French, Greek, German, Spanish, Czech, Afrikaans, Chinese. . .such a variety.
As of this morning, we have only 4 languages covered. If you are one who can read and speak a language other than English, would you be a part of our Pentecost reading?
Please reach out to Deacon Mark in the Church Office, so we can add you to the list of readers. We will need readers for both services on Pentecost Sunday, so please let Deacon Mark know which service (both would be ideal) you are available and which language you would like to read.
IMPORTANT REMINDER - No First Friday Evening Service
Please be aware: we are taking a summertime hiatus from the First Friday Evening services at Holy Trinity. Therefore, we will NOT have a service this coming Friday evening, June 3rd. Likewise, there will be no First Friday service in July, August and September. The First Friday rhythm will re-start in October.
