Life Groups
“the very work of the church itself”
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
What:
We are always engaged in the process of developing and deploying LIFE GROUPS. These are intergenerational groups of God’s people at HTAC growing together as they pattern their lives after Jesus. Being in groups with other Jesus followers is the very work of the church itself. It’s not a secondary program. Instead, it is primary to being the church and it is what Jesus left us as a pattern for transformation through the work of His Spirit. The Holy Spirit works in groups of his people to grow, mature, and bind them together and to Jesus.
God’s people being in groups is so important that we want to make Life Groups accessible to anyone from all walks of life. We aim for Christian Friendship and Fellowship. A study might break out and mission/service can happen too. We just don’t impose it or require it. It’s left open for the group to discern what the Lord may be leading. As our Pastor says, “God’s good at this.” So we help people come together in Life Groups and then God does what He does with, in, and among them.
When and where:
We have a Life Group launch every September. This is a time to form new groups and while we add to groups through out the year, we make a concerted effort to make this happen every September. These groups meet at various times throughout the week and in various locations throughout the area. You can find an interactive map of our life groups at THIS LINK.

If you are interested in being part of a life group, please first consider hosting and/or leading a group in your home. We are always in need of Life Group hosts and leaders. We know the prospect of hosting and/or leading can be daunting, but there is much we can and will do to come alongside and make the experience positive and successful. If hosting or leading is not for you, but you are ready to make the commitment to participate with others in a Life Group, please fill out the Life Group interest form available on the table in the church lobby or fill out the interest form online HERE.
