A Message from Pastor Matt:

Dear Holy Trinity Family,

I am happy to update us on an Anglican pastor moving to Gleneagle!

Pastor Matt Traylor. Matt, his wife, Kati, and his children Faith (3), Riley (1) and Baby Girl (due Sept) are moving to Gleneagle on 3 June, where Kati’s parents live.

Matt was ordained to the Presbyterate, or Pastorate, just this last Pentecost Sunday. He has been a deacon at a church plant in Buffalo, NY the last 3 years. In fact, Kevin and Leslie McMillan worshipped at the Buffalo church where Matt served. They speak very highly of Matt, as do others we have encountered who know them! Before seminary, Matt and Kati taught at an English school in Turkey.

Matt and family are arriving this week. If you are available to help unload boxes from their moving truck this coming Thursday, 3 June, at 10 AM, please respond to Mark or Pastor Chris in the Church Office. If you have benefitted from this kind of assistance in the past, then this might be a good time to help pay it forward.

Matt will begin as a Family Pastor Candidate for the month of June. During that time, he will meet with Staff and Clergy and the LT, so he can know us better and vice versa. When I return from vacation, he and I will process his time as Candidate with an eye towards having him come on staff at 10 hours per week.

Also, Matt is looking for part-time work. If you have any leads at all, please also respond to Mark or Pastor Chris. I say Mark and Pastor Chris, because Matt will report to Chris.

This is very exciting. The summer is going to be full with church leadership looking hard at church life as we come out of the Covid twilight and into a brighter future. That future will be additionally energized with new faces and voices like Matt’s and our with-IAC-Church-Planter, Eric Chesney, bringing God’s presence to bear in and amongst us and for the sake of God and His Creation, our neighbors.

In Christ.
