Author Interview: Where Prayer Becomes Real
New adult discipleship class on PRAYER begins May 16!
We are beginning a new adult discipleship class on May 16, based on the book by Kyle Strobel and John Coe, entitled "Where Prayer Becomes Real: How Honesty With God Transforms Your Soul".
Pastor Chris will lead us through 5 discussion sessions based on topics covered in the book. Although you are invited (even encouraged) to purchase and read Strobel's book as part of this class, it is not essential to participating in the class.
Pastor Chris will present the big ideas from the book and will facilitate discussion among the class participants regarding the concepts and your individual experiences, both positive and negative, with prayer.
A Special Video Interview with the Author.
Pastor Chris had the opportunity to sit down (virtually) with Kyle Strobel, one of the authors of the book for this new discipleship class. Kyle shared his motivations for writing the book and some of the key ideas he and his co-author, John Coe, wanted to communicate to their readers.
You can find the interview between Pastor Chris and Kyle Strobel on our HTAC website, the Discipleship Page, at THIS LINK. The video is also available on our YouTube Channel at THIS LINK.
Onsite and Zoom Options for the Class
This new discipleship class will meet on May 16 and 23, and on June 6, 13, and 20. The class starts at 9 AM on these Sunday mornings in the Adult Classroom at the Church. The class will also be broadcast over Zoom, so you can easily participate remotely. The link for the Zoom class will be published on our Zoom Links page at THIS LINK.
Giving Reports Available Online
We're now about a third of the way into the new year. Is that possible?
If you are interested in seeing your Giving Report for the first part of the year, you can run your report through our CCB Church site at htac.ccbchurch.com, or you can contact the Church Office. We'll be happy to run your report and email it to you.
Please check your statements for accuracy. Also, if you anticipate your giving to be substantially different from 2020, please let us know, so that we can anticipate accurately. We want to be responsible, as we look toward some new initiatives, including the church plant with IAC and a new part-time, ordained, staff member to help with Family Discipleship. Thank you!
Blessings to all.
