A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR MATT

Dear Holy Trinity Community,

A quick word on our new seating protocols.

In short the county guidelines allow for up to 100 people, still fully masked, but not distanced. We are responding as we have tried to do for over a year now to honor the requests and restrictions of our state, county and city governments.

Some of us, perhaps especially our fully vaccinated folks, are perhaps cheering this opening especially as it helps remedy the very real difficulty of quarantine protocols. I feel the same way!

Others of us, recognizing that we are by no means out of the woods just yet, want to continue a more restricted personal protocol, e.g., keep spacing as is, as much as they are able. I feel the same way!

As a result, a few things to please consider. Let’s keep our #1 priority #1. I am sure that everyone will come with a perseveringly humble attitude of community care, as well as caring for our own health and wellbeing. So, like before, if you are symptomatic please join in over Zoom.

If you are not fully vaccinated, please consider some level of spacing between you and others, e.g. vaccinated or not when you come to worship on Sunday pay attention to others and maybe assume that a chair between family groups is still a good idea. I will have an open seat next to me until 2 weeks after 28 April when I receive my second dose.

If you come and you are hoping for an open seat between you or your family group and others, you may arrive and find that is not feasible. Just be ready for that.

For anyone feeling the need or desire for some distance, we are going to have “overflow” seating in the Annex/Extension and in the Adult Classroom, with both locations showing the service in real time on their large TV displays.

In short let’s celebrate good next steps and keep watching out for one another until we are well and truly over this thing.

Finally, the Friday night service is going well and has good spacing available!

Many thanks for your care and respect for one another. It is so important.

God’s Peace,

matt
