Missions & Outreach Giving - Q1 2024
The Missions & Outreach Financial Team has completed the first quarter distribution of $18,487 in donations to support missionaries and ministries, both locally and internationally. The map above shows stars on the ministry locations we are impacting through our gifts.
Approximately half of the funds distributed are going to local and domestic ministries, and half are going to international missionaries and missions organizations.
On the international front, 46% of the funds will be going to direct Gospel-sharing ministries working in India, Thailand, Myanmar, Rwanda, Iraq and Guatemala. 16% will go to organizations that are delivering direct care services to the needy in Nigeria and Tanzania. The remaining 38% is going for the care and support of missionaries and ministry workers in Europe, South America, and Lebanon.
On the domestic front, we continue to provide support to our ministry partners in the Colorado Springs region, including Tri Lakes Cares, Mercy's Gate, Life Network, Anselm Society, Redeemed Seasons, and ThreeSixty. In addition, we are supporting outreach and care ministries in Denver, Canon City, and El Paso, Texas. The range of services supported through our dollars include basic safety net services, like food and rent assistance, prison ministry, pregnancy care, gospel ministry to Jewish communities, spiritual direction, and missionary care.

Please also watch for more information coming soon on a number of boots-on-the-ground outreach opportunities that are developing for the late Spring and Summer seasons.
Pentecost Is Coming! Readers needed!
Pentecost is just a few weeks away, and we are planning a very special service on Pentecost Sunday, which falls this year on May 19.
First, we will have a baptism for young Wesley Thigpen. Woo Hoo!!
Second, we will enjoy our Holy Trinity tradition of reading the Pentecost story in multiple languages. This is a powerful experience -- hearing voices in as many different languages as we can gather, proclaiming the arrival and manifestation of the Holy Spirit through the speaking "in other tongues" as described in Acts, Chapter 2.
If you read and speak a non-English language, we would love to have your help with the Pentecost reading. Last year, we had 7 different languages. This year, we'd love to have more. Please reach out to Deacon Mark if you are interested in participating.
