Adult Discipleship Class: Prayer & the BCP

Please join us for an excellent class on prayer: three Sundays - October 1, October 8, October 15 - between Sunday services from 10 to 10:30 AM in the Adult Classroom at HTAC.

Heather Peterson will explore historical prayer, the Book of Common Prayer (BCP), and how to pray for one another. She’ll be covering the following topics over the course of the three Sundays in October:

Understanding
Biblicity and biblical history of read (or sung) prayers
Historicity and richness of read prayers
Rhythm and unity of the church in the hours
Using the BCP in and for prayer
Understanding in praying for one another
Praying for a healthy image of God and of self
Listening to God as you pray
Avoiding pitfalls as you pray
