WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING THIS WEEK?

First Friday Evening Service

"Navigating Treacherous Waters"

At our First Friday service for May - 6:30 PM on May 6 - we will begin a 3-part teaching series entitled, "Navigating Treacherous Waters: Caring for those who struggle with explicit media."

This very important class is designed to equip parents, spouses, siblings and friends who are called to walk alongside men and women, boys and girls, who become drawn to and trapped by sexually explicit media. This is a topic that affects everyone!

Over three Friday evenings in May (6th, 13th, 20th), we will cover the implications of this content and its opposition to God's design for human community, the personal impacts of this content on the human body and brain and our relationships, and the strategies and resources available to help those in bondage to these materials gain the freedom promised by Jesus.

Don't miss this opportunity! The class is offered through Redeemed Seasons Ministries and will be taught by Deacon Mark Summers of HTAC.

The First Friday service will be broadcast via Zoom. The Zoom link is available on the Holy Trinity website.

Second Sunday Stories

Jason Dilger, Executive Director of Mercy's Gate

We have a very special guest for our Second Sunday Stories segment on May 8, between the two Sunday services.

Jason Dilger, Executive Director of Mercy's Gate, will be offering a presentation on poverty and the working poor in the Colorado Springs area and how the ministry work at Mercy's Gate brings resources to the places of greatest need in our community.

Holy Trinity has supported Mercy's Gate financially for many years. Jason's talk will be a wonderful opportunity to hear stories about how our outreach efforts in the local community have real-time positive impacts on the lives of those in need.

A Special Concert Opportunity

Soli Deo Gloria Community Choir

On Saturday, May 7, the Soli Deo Gloria Community Choir will present a free concert at 3 PM, featuring the Faure Requiem and other eclectic offerings in honor of Dr. Robert Molisson.

The concert will be held at the First United Methodist Church on 420 North Nevada in Colorado Springs. Please come to enjoy this outstanding choral performance and to support this group that has been blessing the Colorado Springs community since 1973.
