The Persecuted Church with Pastor Al Janssen
Pastor Al Janssen will present the third of three special adult discipleship teachings on the Persecuted Church. This Sunday, Pastor Al will talk about the realities of life for followers of Jesus in one of the most dangerous areas of the world for Christians. He will also cover some of the ways the Body of Christ in North America can support oppressed Christians around the world.
Membership Class
We will hold a membership class on Sunday, March 27 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Church. Note that we have pushed the start time to 2:30, so Pastor Matt has time to finish his discipleship class for the High School youth.
The Membership Class reviews the theology and history of Holy Trinity and of Anglicanism in general. This is a comprehensive class on our collective and foundational beliefs, and it offers a look into what membership at HTAC is all about. If you are interested in attending, you can sign up at THIS LINK.
Lenten Fast - Week 3
This week, we are fasting from unnecessary spending. Resolve this week to buy as little as possible. Don't rent a movie or buy coffee from your favorite shop. Eat cheaply and save. Consider this: in what ways have the things you own ended up owning you? At the end of the week, we will take up a special offering from the money we all saved for a gift to our sister parish in Rwanda.
Lenten Movie Options
Following our Lenten movie night last Friday, Pastor Al has put together a list of suggestions for movies with a strong spiritual theme for the remainder of your Lent season. You can find the list and Pastor Al's comments at THIS LINK on our CCB website.
