Hanging of the Greens: Sunday, November 20

From Wikipedia: The hanging of the greens is a Western Christian ceremony in which congregations adorn their churches with Advent and Christmas decorations. This is done on or directly before the start of the Advent season, in preparation for Christmastide. The event involves the placement of evergreen vegetation, such as the evergreen wreath, which carries the symbolism of everlasting life.

Holy Trinity will hold its Hanging of the Greens event on Sunday, 20 November from 6 to 8 PM at the Church.

Please join us, and invite your friends! This is a very special Church/community event that will include activities for the children, the decorating of our Christmas tree, special music and singing of carols, great food, and wonderful fellowship.

As we did last year, we will have a delicious cookie & sweet treat buffet, so bring your favorite holiday cookies or treats to share.

For those of you who might want a more substantial “supper”, we  also plan to thaw out and heat up the bar-b-que meat and buns that have been in our freezer for the past couple of months.
